Hello potential recruit!

First of all, thank you very much for your interest in The Azure Flame! We're always glad to see new faces.

The application will brief and done almost totally on the forums. Please read and follow the steps below before replying to this thread.

Register on the forums here using either your GW2 account battletag OR your principal character's name for your forum account name. Should you choose to make a personalized forum account name, modify your profile to include aforementioned information(as I have done)
Please do * NOT * register with the same email you use for your game management, just for account security reasons

I'm 26, I'm a software engineer and I live in Ohio. I have an obese cat that's usually staring at me while I play and I have a sick anime addiction.

- How did you hear about The Azure Flame?

Nope


- What is your availability for GW2? Do you mostly play evenings/weekends? Does it change often? How often do you like to play?

I'll play when I get off of work for a few hours (~6PM EST ) and on the weekends if nothing is going on.

- What sort of activities do you prefer to do in GW2? Dungeons, PvP, crafting, etc.
I'm leveling, so I'm always down for any dungeon that I'm qualified to run. It would be nice to have a group that I could go to first for finding people to do things. I'm always down for sPvP or WvWvW ( you may have to learn me up a bit on this, I'm more focused on leveling before getting serious there ).

- What sort of activities do you expect of [TAF]? I.E.: guild dungeon runs, groups for WvW, etc.
I expect a fairly active guild chat and a place where I can get into guild runs or whatever happens to be going on.


- Have you played/still play any other MMOs? If so, what did you like best about them?
I've played quite a bit of WoW. It feels more like a job than a game. I'm an old school Runescape guy too, from way back in the day. I like the open, sandboxy-ness and the quests are very well done.

- Are you a member of any other guilds? If so, what are the other guild(s) lacking that is bringing you to [TAF]?
I actually just switched to IoJ, i was on Henge of Denravi before this. The guild I was in petered out and switched worlds. They didn't really ever do anything, and the few people that were on, weren't representing anyway.

PS I read the rules, and they're pretty common-sense type stuff. As long as the guild is somewhat active, I would be representing.

Hello. I am a 22 year old Physics major living in Maryland. This is my first mmo. I am also fairly new to GW2 as well.

- How did you hear about The Azure Flame?

I heard about The Azure Flame From the Guild Compendium page on the GW2 forums.

- Do you have any friends/family already in [TAF]?

No. Unfortunately I don't know anyone that plays the game. That is why I'm hoping to find a friendly and active guild.

- What is your availability for GW2? Do you mostly play evenings/weekends? Does it change often? How often do you like to play?

I normally play most every evening for at least an hour(mostly more than one hour). This does change periodically due to studying for exams and such.

- What sort of activities do you prefer to do in GW2? Dungeons, PvP, crafting, etc.

I am brand new to mmos and GW2 at the same time. I am low level right now. I would love to level with some other people. I would like to Participate in dungeons, as well as learn how to access them, and PvP either structured or WvW is very interesting to me. I would love to participate with a group of people, i.e. this guild. I don't exactly know how to access PvP, or what level I should be or anything. I would also be looking for friendly faces willing to answer a noob's stupid questions.

No. I've never even been in a guild, unfortunately.

I'm a 27 year old male. I work in an IT department for a pharmaceutical company. I've also played almost every mmo under the sun.

Looking around on the official GW2 forums for Isle of Janthir guilds.

I honestly just came back after a very long break and I plan to play a decent amount. Seeing as how I have a full time job though I will be playing mostly in the evenings and on weekends when I can.

WvW, crafting and PvE. I may get into PvP if I become friends with a group of people who want to try it out.

WvW and special events mixed with a little PvE. Normal guild stuff really.

I've played too many to list really. I enjoy the interaction with people and making new friends where I can.

I just became a member of two random guilds that sent me invites but I don't
think they are going to be for me. I'm looking for something a bit more structured I think.

I try to play maybe an hour or so 3 days a weeks then most weekend I have a few hour stretch I play. Somewhere in the 5-10 hours a week range of play time.

I'm looking forward to more group related activities. PvP, WvW, dungeons, tracking down zone bosses, etc.

Yes, I've played - even if just a little bit - many other MMOs. I don't get to play a ton, so not having a subscription fee is huge for me right now.
