The Guild Stash is a wonderful community asset for us to have. As it is such a worthwhile asset to have, it is also worthwhile to restrict access to it as to protect the contents within. The following are some suggestions & expectations of all guild members deciding to use the Guild Stash.
We will limit access to protect the contents in the guild stash
In short, there is no option in-game to limit the amount of how much one deposits or withdraws from the Guild Stash. Any person with access to the GS could withdraw every last item. Thus, not all members have direct access to the GS.
However, all officers and leaders are *required* to assist with any reasonable requests for item withdrawals from the GS.
Space is limited, so we ask the following * NOT * be deposited :
- Armor/Weapons of Grey, White, Blue, or Green quality
* not of high value, the mats they break down into would be more valuable
- Minor runes
- Minor/Weak Potions
- Tonics (the polymorph ones)
- Black Lion Chests or Keys
* Please keep these for yourselves. The loot is randomized. If you do not like the loot, and is appropriate for the GS, then donate the items.
Some wonderful items to donate:
- Crafting mats of any rarity
- Food
- Rare (yellow) or higher gear
* If you (nor any of your characters) can use the item, we will gladly accept the donation. However, the item may be broken down into crafting mats (which will be deposited into the GS) or they will be moved to the Treasure Trove
- Spare change
* Upgrading the guild roster (and buying upgrades in WvW) all cost funds. Also, respeccing costs gold to buy tomes. Only reasonable requests for monetary funds will be considered
The Guild Stash runs on a Give & Take honor policy
This is a nuanced policy. If one is levelling a crafting profession, feel free to take some of the mats available to help you level. However, if you could salvage the finished products and turn in the excess mats that you no longer need, that would somewhat demonstrate the Give & Take policy. Or if you do not need leather, but need cloth, depositing leather when taking cloth is a good exchange.
Essentially, we want to prevent leeches. If people are actively donating to the GS, then they also deserve to request items. We also want to prevent any attempt at someone ninja'ing the GS to try and sell items for personal profit at the expense of the guild members.
These suggestions are a work in progress. This post will be edited/updated as needed.
