Hello Guildies!
The Azure Flame's general rules will be listed below - this list is non-exhaustive and will be updated as needed.
* Enjoy the game!
- This is the primary goal for good reason. Every other rule is aimed at trying to make our guild a friendly/receptive place for people to enjoy the game with.
* Keep /guild chat clean (two fold)
- Try to keep the messages in /guild something that the whole guild can chime in on. If you would rather have a private conversation with someone, feel free to whisper them or party up with them.
- Try to keep the messages in /guild somewhat PC. One never knows who may take offense to what one may say. There isn't a strict language rule, but blatantly offensive is definitely a no-no.
* Play often (when you can)
- Though the inactivity rule (aka, being kicked for long periods of inactivity) is very flexible, please keep in mind that the guild can always use your help. Being in a party with other guild mates helps the guild earn influence. The more you can contribute to the guild, the better for all of us! The more often we're all on and working together, the faster we can get better upgrades and more services for the guild.
* Help each other (when it isn't a burden)
- This one is a bit hard to explain. Try to help out your fellow guildies, but not in a way that inconveniences you. IE: someone asks for help in a zone that you have never been to/not level appropriate. Obviously you cannot be of help, so do not say you will. However, if they ask for help while you are both in the same zone and only have a level or two of difference - please group with them and help (this goes back to Play Often rule).
* Be self-reliant
- This one is a very important one. Don't beg for help without reading quest text/weapon skill text/crafting text. Try to first get the gist of something. Please try to take on the challenge of completing a quest/objective first. If after a few tries, you still need help, then ask =) Also, do not beg for materials/gear. If you're only a few materials short, maybe suggest a barter in lieu of just asking to be given the materials/gear. Most people will gladly barter
* Represent The Azure Flame (two fold)
- While you are playing, please represent the guild (option available by pressing G). If you are in other guilds as well, please represent TAF as often as possible and in ALL guild events that you participate in
- This is a social MMO. As such, the reputation of TAF is very important to maintain. While you're out exploring or pvp'ing, please don't act in a way or say things that may reflect poorly on TAF. This isn't an attempt to limit your free speech, but don't make the guild look like a bunch of trolly jerks.
